WTF... Cheerleaders protest skimpy uniforms!?!?!?!!?

Obviously the girls and school are collaborating to try and strum up ticket sales...did no one else notice the lack of attendance in the stands? I think there were 5, maybe 6 people watching the games when the photos were taken.

I don't see anything wrong with their uniforms, at least compared to any of the Big 10 cheerleaders. Now those outfits were probably ordered from a porn studio!

meh. the cheerleaders that are any good at the tossing and flipping and such are at the college level. These are the one's that "compete." And to do such, the ladies have to be no taller than 5'4" 100lb or so. Then you have the muscly dudes to do all the tossing.

What you're left with is a gaggle of seriously attractive former-cheerleaders that are left with two options: JV or the dance squad.

This is why the dance team is ALWAYS the most popular squad at college sports events. The freaks went on to "competitive cheerleading," (which no one cares about), and the dance squaders go on to become "professional cheerleaders" in the NFL, NBA and various other 2nd tier professional sports (Arena football).

It's hilarious. Just look at the professional version of this, and you absolutely know what their worth is, and what people actually want out of their participation.
 
Someone forgot the point of cheerleading. That seems to happen to a lot of different activities when they go on long enough. They become "unto themselves" and everyone disconnects them from their original purpose. There can be only one reason to stand attractive young girls in front of a crowd and have them bounce about. That reason is sex appeal; the objectification of females for the benefit of the males in the crowd. Things may branch off from there into skill competition and the like, but the essential nature of the activity should never be forgotten.

I've always supported this notion in general, but you can't use it to negate sports like gymnastics (seriously athletic) and as has been mentioned, boxing.

I look at things like diving and others determined by judges as completely lame, but there are a handful of actual athletic sports that depend on judging, unfortunately.

Ice skating..I don't know. It's absolutely very athletic, but to me, there is too much of the "performance" influence. You can't really escape that, though.

Boxing at least has rules at to what constitutes a point, plus a TKO is an automatic win and is objective.

As far as sports like ice skating and the like, I don't disagree with you that it's absolutely athletic, but I would say it is a contest more than a sport. There's no real metric to say how one performance is better than another other than a group of judge's thoughts.

For example, the sport has evolved and some ice skating moves aren't worth as much "points" as before because they're expected to get better and better every year.

On the other hand, for example, basketball has always had the two point bucket. Soccer has always scored a 1pt goal, etc.
 
Who is forcing these girls to participate in an activity where a uniform is required? Who is putting blindfolds on them so they can't see that the outfits are revealing?

The one girl who was being interviewed was upset that her stomach was showing, but she was obviously just a teeny bit overweight.
 
Those cheerleading outfits are not skimpy enough! And yeah, that one chick needs to lose some weight.

I think the real issue with these cheerleaders is that some have too much hanging out that they can’t cover with these outfits.

What happened to cheerleaders having to be hot and skinny? At 1:18 that one in the middle looks a bit on the chub side.

4. I will grant a limited exception to the fattie in the video. Why hasn't anyone told her yet that letting her on the team was just a mean joke orchestrated by the other girls?
