Lmao, quadruple what I'll be paying for a room/bathroom in a shared house with 2 others in Atlanta starting this summer (they get their own rooms too).

Can people not move further away from the huge cities and find cheaper rent? I've never been to Cali so I have no idea.

Sure they can.....but then where will you work or go to school? All the companies are in the medium/big cities

You guys have tunnel vision or something. At least explain to me how much of a commute you would have to make in order to reduce housing costs. Is a 30 minute drive too much of a commute?

Bay area definitely has cheaper places than 1800 for a two bedroom apartment. tell the owner to fvck off. If you just need a place immediately to tie you over during the summer, let me know... I'm actually trying to sublet my room out to someone for $500/month /w roommate.

Tx. but I just signed for a 2bdrm for about $1650. Its a bit smaller, but it has a nice view of the lagoons and is in a good area.

Take that 30 minutes and multiply it by 4 ~ 6. That's the average commute in Cali for someone who moved "away from the big cities for cheaper rent," A.K.A. the Central Valley.

don't move to Palm Beach County then...

In tokyo condos are about $10k to 20k per sq FOOT...hence why such a big commuting system with 3 hours being not so wierd....

Anyway why is this a racial thing anyway, typical bait and switch...plus the fact most people looking for apartments NEED an apartment.

I pay $550...average for this kind of place is about $900-1000. And my parking spots are right in front of my unit. It's small, but I am saving for a house so perfect...discourages the wife from buying junk.

You haven't seen the traffic in Cali :p

10 miles out of the city = hour long commute at least.
