Depends on where you are... Most of Canada and I believe most of Europe age of consent is 16. I believe certain states also have a 16 year old age of consent.

All of Canada is 14.
12 if you're under 16 and not more than 2 years older.
18 if you're in a position of authority (teacher, cop, etc.) or want to partake in sodomy.

And in some backwards states, it is 100% illegal to have "non-conventional" sex at all, meaning that gays/lesbians can never legally consent to sex with their choice of partner.
