Lots of soda has this... IIRC Sprite has one that says 'Do not point bottle at face. Hold away from body while opening'

I came across some hairspray that has literally half the front label covered in a huge 'EXPLOSIVE' graphic. It's not for show, either.

I've never seen anything like this before. I guess they do a trial run on idiotproofing in the states first, must be higher idiot density ;)
Well.. A higher BS court case per thousand people rate, at least.

I've opened up a bottle of soda before that was under pressure and the cap went flying, I just kind of spun it open with the palm of my hand real fast.

Do you want to fix this crap, or not?

Tort Reform
  • Democrats are basically in a defensive position on the issue and the subject is not discussed in their platform. Legislatively, the reform task has not been easy even though Republicans control Congress and the Presidency. In July 2004, Democrats in the Senate were able to stall the class action reform which was eventually approved in 2005.
Seriously.. this stalling is pathetic! :|

What coffee warnings are you talking about? (I only buy green beans, so I wouldn't know).

I hate those kinds of labels though, they're everywhere. Even my coffee grinder which is a semi-commercial unit says not to place fingers inside...it's quite obvious it could eat your fingers.

here's a neat trick to pull on your friend.

get two can, shake one can violently for a long time, put it back down. wave a magic wand, mumble some incantations for 30 seconds. to move the 'fizz' to the other can

open the can, no fizzle (the way it is designed now, if you wait for 30 seconds, you'll be ok)

for the other can, point the opening towards your friend, as you open it, squeeze the lower half can with the other hand and watch it shower your buddy with soda.

I once saw a warning label on the side of a PSU that said something like, "WARNING! Open me and I may kill you."

Ill bet that in some trailor park in WV two years ago some moron hurt himself opening a can.

Heh. I'll post the pic when I get home. Europe has some GREAT warning labels on cigarette boxes.

Things like "Smoking causes erectile disfunction" and "Smoking can lower sperm counts".

And these are HUGE labels taking up almost half the boxes.

:D

Yeah, we've got stupid warnings that cover 50% of the pack.

It's not like the smokers don't know its bad for them.. did some smokers realize, when they raised the warning from 25% to 50%, suddenly, that smoking is bad for them? so stupid..
