I was testing my system a bit, I have E4400, 7600gt, 1gb 800Mhz ddrII on MSI P6N SLI V2, xp-pro sp2.
Anyway, that scored ~14000 on 3dmark03, I figured ok, but now I want to test a little OC on that. I used clockgen to up the cpu to 2.2 and ran 3dmark again, and gained virtually nothing (maybe like 200 points), so I used coolbits to unlock nVidia's OC feature, and upped the gpu by 10% exactly, half way through the test, the system freezes and reboots. Now, I know I don't have the best make of the gpu (Inno) but damn, I wasn't expecting it to freeze after a poor 10% oc...
By the way my idle temps are ~62c, I have a friend with the exact same card which idles at ~52c. The load temps I managed to see on my system were ~80c

use ntune, theres a test gpu clock thingy, when it passes the system usually won't crash because of the videocard. Unless it runs to hot of course, 80c doesn't sound to high though.

Your card running hot could be because of poor airflow in your case as well btw. Dunno if and how many casefans you're using.

Yeah, my room is not too well ventilated and my case does have a million wires in it, though I do have a couple of 12cm fans one for intake and one for exhaust air, so the air. I'll give nTune a shot, though as I said failing at 10% oc is fairly bad, since has almost no influence on the hardware.
