wtf 6800 ultra 999.99

the 6800 ultra 512 was quite an unsuccesful product IMO. the prices never fell to be competitive and there were very few games if any that even used the extra ram

believe it or not, the employee price on this is 700+

Its unfortunate how many stupid people actually bought one too. I know of one person who bought one literally the day before the 7800GTX was launched. I tried to tell him that it was being launched the next day and that he'd be able to do much better for his money, but he just said he didn't care because it had 512MB (yep thats how big of a fool he was). Some other people tried to do the spiel about if you keep waiting then you'll never buy anything and I was just like its one day, but whatever. Whats the saying about a fool and their money?

is it fair to say that vid card is the most powerful one out there? if not which one is? i wanna buy the best and for it to last a few days 😛 (until something bigger and better comes out)

No, it's not fair to say that.

7800gtx and x1800xt are the best out there for gaming.

in terms of the best vid card for 3d studio max and other rendering programs, are gaming graphics cards suitable? i dont want to buy two expensive graphics card. i want a compromise without having two different spec machines.
