did you actually tell eac where lame was on your harddrive?

Some copies of EAC come with and automatically install LAME so you don't have to (I have one).

Did you select all files and then extract to mp3?

Action Menu, Copy Selected Tracks, Uncompressed.

And yes, Lame seems to be working properly. Also, i didn't see the option to "extract to MP3".

mine didnt automatically. had to go to 'eac', 'compression options...', 'external compression' tab, and browse to the 'lame' executable.

(wrote it out in case this step wasnt done yet)

edit: sup bmacd. long time no see for awhile there. forget to say 'welcome back!'

edit02: btw, i believe if you are converting to mp3, your going to want to click the 'compressed' menu item.

I had the same problem but after some tinkering, it worked. I think that anxi80s idea should do it. If not, try ripping to wav first and see if those work.

Alright, I think I know what it is then. Have EAC redetect your drives. I had the exact same problem. If I remember right, that fixed it.

I tried ripping a few songs off of a burned compilation CD and I got the same silent effects. However, when I put in any of my *real* CDs, they work flawlessly.

i *JUST* bought this CD and i want to listen to it on my computer without the hassle of tying up my CD player and bogging down my system.

I re-config'ed my drives and i switched to my other cd burner drive (1st was a cd & dvd burner combo). It's taking SOOOO long. I'll update when i'm done :)

I had the same problem, did 5 CD's then encoded to OGG, THEN found out that it hadn't worked :(
Haven't bothered trying again.

Good luck with that, I've been trying all day to get 6 channel sound in an AAC file... I think I'm getting close.
