OK, all you people calling out the OP for using the word "shot" are making fools of yourselves. Obviously they aren't serving Louis XIII in a shot glass; it comes in a snifter, but the relative amount of liquid you get is equivalent to a shot. Unless of course they do actually serve it in a shot glass, in which case that restaurant is full of shit.

Oh, and as far as expensive liquor is concerned...
Top 10 most expensive libations
But they missed one...

Actually, seems like it's his foot in your mouth.
So much for reading comprehension.

Two sides of the same coin.

No, I read that bit, which is why I added the line "Unless of course they do actually serve it in a shot glass, in which case that restaurant is full of shit." I interpreted that to mean a regular shot and not specifically the glass. What are the odds ICRS saw what kind of a glass this cognac was served in? Do you think he shelled out $165 for it? I think his post indicated a fundamental lack of understanding regarding not only the cost but also the general serving method of a fine cognac. But, like I said, my interpretation could certainly be incorrect, in which case, yes, that restaurant is retarded.

i remember going to a club 4 years ago. I brought about $100 cash for drinks. I remember buying a round of "incredible hulks" for me and 3 people. The bill was something like $80 excluding tip.

I drank just one more drink that night.....a domestic beer

I had Grand Marnier 150 once. Amazing stuff, would drink it regularly if possible.

You CERTAINLY DO NOT take shots of brandy that are $165.

When I say shot I was refering to the amount. It is in a brandy glass.

depends. Here bars have to buy liquor retail from a liquor store at retail price.
