These have probably been discussed since they've been out for a while.

Dust An Elysian Tail is really good, reminds me of good SNES or maybe even almost Symphony of The Night. Only issue is that its basically really easy other than occasionally a tough enemy that you haven't faced yet will one shot you or close to one shot you.

I started Fez. Its ok I guess.

I finally got to play Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet since they converted it from GFWL to Steamworks. Its solid but I need to put more time into it.

Guacamelee is good. I think I got kinda stuck but can't remember exactly.

Unfortunately I don't get to play co-op games with my old friends in person. There's a bunch of these I'd like to play like Towerfall.

My Steam Wishlist is full of these types of games, I need to check back in the thread to see how many have been mentioned or given feedback in here.

that era of NES games has such a unique love/hate relationship with the player. Doubt it can be duplicated--I think part of it has to do with overcoming relatively shitty controls to succeed, and no one is trying to make shitty response gamepads or game control these days (intentionally, anyway).

Have you played Superbrothers Sword and Sorcery? The controls are completely awful (and yes I know it was made for tablets, but even there I can't fathom the praise the game got with how terrible the controls are).

loved Strider so much--it was NES, right? I believe there was also a Sega/Genesis version.

Yes, there was a Strider on NES. It was far different than the arcade/Genesis version. The NES version was more exploration based as opposed to the side scrolling levels of the arcade version. I enjoyed both, but can't replay the NES one like I can the arcade/Genesis version.

Dust: An Elysian Tale looks very cool. I'm going to add that one to my list. Thanks for mentioning it. Weird how it looks like they put Tails from Sonic and Tails in the game. :hmm:

I'm not sure about Fez; it looks kind of annoying. I guess I should try it at some point though.

I've never played the NES version; the Genesis version was godly though.

Pretty sure that was one of the games that I had available. :p It's a fun MetroidVania game. My only complaint about it is that the game gets REALLY EASY near the end because you just become so ridiculously powerful. Although, it doesn't help that I crafted what appears to be the best gear in the game, and I use cheesy moves like fidget's lightning attack + twirling the sword in air (you become a sort of tornado-like thing), which creates a huge lightning storm.

Heres a photo of one of my gear pieces that I took awhile ago from the 360 version:

Yeah, but I did not want to get greedy. :)

I don't mind thing getting easy since it seems you earned it by crafting your own stuff. The gameplay and graphics look pretty cool; something that would be up my alley.
