Since this is getting locked anyways, I'll crap:
I use filezilla for a free and fully capable ftp client application as well as filezilla server for a free ftp server application.

WS_FTP costs money? News to me...

My university provides a Networking CD to students with an install of WS_FTP95 on it. Still works good!

i used to LOVE wsftp

there was no BS in it, and it was free for students (well, you can make it free..)

then they had their "pro" and "other" version and quality went down the shtter

i recently dl'ed smart ftp and found it far superior

I do not know diddly about FTP clients, but spamming in an attempt to sell them is kind of lame. If you're this desperate, you may as well give up and go do something else, as your software must be pretty lame.
You know, I wonder if we'll be seeing MS doing this in a decade or two. It's an interesting question.

WS_FTP is one of the grand daddies of ftp programs and is pretty good. But there are so many good free ones around why buy one? Its like buying winzip to handle zip files these days.

Does anyone know how to setup the views so they are like the WS_FTP (Norton Commander) look?

I did it manually so I was looking at the local browser(left) and FTP server(right)... but after I closed/reopened they went back to default. 😕

EDIT: Ok, I figured it out... Turn off Window->AutoArrange. Close the Local Folders window. Open Local Browser and the click on Window->Tile Vertically. 😛

you think you could have made yourself more usefull in the past 2 years...

I use LeechFTP, not developed anymore but is still the best win32 graphical ftp client IMHO 😀

Why pay for something which you can get for free? (FTP client that is before you anti warez monkeys get all worked up 😀)

I think that was quite useful of me to post. It doesn't take years of AT membership to realize free is cheaper than what the 'The WS_FTP Elves' (seemingly him included) were pimping.
Thanks for stopping by.

I have nothing to do with WS FTP ( i like bullet proof) and my reaction was with everyone elses, a yeah right. I simply got this email and posted it here and figured the thread would die a quick death.
