WRX went through a house..

I'm just skimming this thread ... but from the "last page" comments and chop it sounds like this kid has been in three accidents thus far. :Q

What a fvckface. No way his gas stuck. He should have his license revoked, and get a haymaker across the noggin.

Doesn't even matter. He admitted to being WOT and driving like a general moron, so I hope he gets sued. He finds it funny that he fscked up someone's house. What a prick that guy is.

Exactly. I mean a radar detector screams "hey I speed like a maniac." I don't buy his story at all.

Uh...although the day is coming when the car will have black box features where the cops or insurers can get information about what the car was doing just before a crash, it's not here yet. The ECU does not store any information in it that can be read by investigators, other than standard OBD II error codes.

Airbag computer. 😛 It stores the info (speed, accelleration/braking, etc) about the few seconds prior to any time it "thinks" about deploying them, even if it doesn't fire them off.

Yea I call BS too. Even if his throttle stuck wide open, how did it get wide open in the first place.

I've been reading this thread over at nasioc.

There was a throttle clip recall on some cars, but even if that affected his car there is no it would cause that accident.
The only way he could have been near redline in 3rd gear in a residential area like that is if he was at the very top of the rpm band for 2nd gear to start.
So he was doing easily 60mph before his "throttle stuck" and then ran it the car to redline in 3rd gear.

Older teenagers like this ruin many things.

You're not supposed to go WOT in third gear at 30mph? :Q

He needs a Kia Spectra or something..
