WRT54GL to switch

I am using a Linksys WRT54GL flashed with Tomato and have a Trendnet gigabit switch on its way. Is it as simple as plugging switch into port1 of the Linksys and the computers into the switch? I am just confused since its like having two switches connected and I am unsure if this will make things complicated. Do I have to somehow disable the switch on the Linksys ?
