WRT54G vs WRT54GS

removing price and "speedbooster" technology from the equation (i won't be using it), are there reasons i should buy the WRT54GS over the WRT54G? (memory, speed, features?)

thanks for your expertise...

Personally I only have laptops in my house that are wireless and I don't want a clunky pcmcia card sticking out of them. So w/o the linksys pcmcia cards w/ speed booster that device is useless to me.

Also IMHO if you plan on doing large data transfers you may as well just be wired.

and as far as features there is hacked firmware for both that should cover any of your needs

tangent1138, the GS has double the RAM and double the flash, which matters for third-party firmware. The double the flash is the biggie, means more stuff on the local filesystem (loaded on the unit).

The "SpeedBooster" part is pretty much useless. The RAM and Flash matters.
