wrt54g help!

hi, i need some help with my wrt54g v5 =(
ive been goin hours and nothing is working
first of all its in spanish and i cant change language even if i reset to default settings, and i cant connect to internet through it, but i can connect directly through just the modem. i can access the router page though. i upgraded to 1.0.0.6 and now everything is messed

i held the reset button, unplug replug power cord, reset default settings and i just cant get it to work. it worked at first and broke when i upgraded.

at this page i cant even get an IP

When you say that you upgraded, do you mean that you flashed it to a new firmware? If so, it sounds like the flash didn't complete properly, or you used a bad firmware file. Try flashing it back to the firmware you had before, or download a good copy of the firmware from Linksys and flash it.

The best change concerning the v5 is to get rid of it and try to get v4 or WRT54GL.

As they say in Spanish it is a Pájaro del dodo.

Otherwise, I would assume that the firmware is partially corrupted to try to flash again with a new downloaded firmware.

i have the official linksys 1.00.6 firmware from the website though

Yeah, but may be you heard about the possibility that code can get a "little" trashed when downloading and or flashing.

Complains would not increase the odds.

So make another attempt and if it does not work you can call Linksys and explain that you already twice.
