So, I had a phone interview this morning for this london internship. It went well & all, and I sent them a thank you letter for the interview. I addressed it Dear David and Jean, but the thing is, checking over again, I saw that her name is spelled Jeanne.

Should I send an email apologizing, or just pretend like it never happened?

:(

Update: Got the internship! Ah yeah! It's a semester and a half of free room and board in London, paid airfare and a small stipend!

The short turnaround time is awesome, too. I interviewed on Friday and they decided this morning, I guess. WOOT!

It's her name. It's not like she's going to skip over it. Email them back and apologize.

Here's the thing, she never emailed me or corresponded with me. I only knew her email address because she was cc'd in on emails from the other guy. Her first name isn't in her email address She was introduced over the phone as Jeanne (heh, not spelled out). So, maybe she'll assume that her name never came through the email (some emails won't include the name of the person). So, maybe just ignoring it will be for the best.

Sad but true. Im paranoid about things like this. I re-read important emails 2-3 times before I send them.

I think you're pretty much screwed. As a potential employee, I wanted this job at a particular company a few years ago. The manager emailed me back offering me the job...only problem was that he called me "Davis" instead of "David". I didnt accept the position.

Because of the typo? Wow man you are hard core. I am an engineer, grammar and spelling are just formalities to most of the people I have talked to.

OK, so a few people at work said that I should apologize, if for no other reason than because I'm obsessing over it.

Here it is:
Hi Jeanne,

After checking through my email chain with David, I noticed that I misspelled your name. I apologize for that mistake.

Sincerely,
preslove

Well, now I feel better, at least.

Most people will read over it so fast they wont even notice. Its not as big of a deal as you might think.

Simple and to the point, with no gushing or making a big deal about it.

Now just sit back and wait, I suppose.

Hell, I'm dumb enough to take their job. I'm going to probably spend around $5k of my savings on this semester (this is according to someone at my college who did this internship a couple of semesters ago).
