He doesn't have to admit he's wrong cuz he was. You can't just keep the guy in jail, he's been in there for 25 years.

I think the people who recanted their testimony are the ones who belong behind bars :|
That's just sick, but its the world we live in
they were little girls.. age 5 and 6 that were apparently raped by their 9 year old cousin. it was their grandma who told them to accuse the man who's now in prison. hence their recant... which i don't think they deserve to be blamed for.

I'm sure it'll go to the Supreme Court. At that point, maybe the moron will get kicked in the face.

On a side note, if you are wrongfully imprisoned, you only get 20K a year for each year you go to prison?
That's more than a 20K a year mess up on the states behalf. You get sent to prison for rape and you didn't do it then if they find out your innocent, you get 20K for each YEAR? Should be 20K a month, as bad as prison is.
A synopsis of the report by M.A. White, assistant special agent in charge, said testimony by the girls was consistent with the testimony of medical personnel who examined them. It also said that Smith, one of the victims and her mother all had trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted disease.
The agent wrote that the mothers of the victims believed their recantations were not truthful.
The report said one of the prosecutors taped a telephone conversation between the two victims during which one did not know she was being recorded. For most of the conversation, the report said, one woman tried to convince the other that Smith did not sexually assault them, but the woman did not recant then.
