I tried to put a computer together for my friend a couple days ago, I didn't realize till to late that the RAM voltage was 1.9V-2.0V while the P5B-E only supports 1.8V RAM. When i tried the power button, before realizing the voltage problem, the comp wouldn't post.
First of all, does the RAM, mobo or both get damaged if you try to run with bad voltages?
Second, will a computer even POST with bad RAM, just curious?
Third, does anyone want 2x1GB G.Skill DDR2@-800 1.9V-2.0V RAM, probably willing to sell for anoud $200-$250?
