I have had considerable problems with Comcast Cable TV. Originally had a Cable Card in our TV for about 2 years, then it started losing programming/stations. Comcast came out and reset card (removed and reinstalled) and it worked about 2 weeks.

Then I asked to have the cable card replaced. Service man came out and could not get old card or new card to work. Also mentioned that he hadn't worked on a cable card in over 6 months. (why did Comcast send out a tech that isn'tb even familiar w/ cable cards??) Any way he hooked up an HDTV box. (I had requested an HDMI Cable box, when I placed the service call, if they coud not get Cable Card to work).

I was not home at the time when they hooked up the box, but he used RGB cables instead of an HDMI connection. Called Comcast and complained and thet said they don't have hdmi cables because they cost too much. They have to be provided by the customer. Why didn't they tell me that when I placed the order?

After checking the connections I found the service man had connected the box into same input section as the DVD. Not sure where they got this service man, as previous Comcast service ment have been decent. Any way he hooked up a new Cable Box but did NOT leave the instructions. I have called Comcast twice requesting the instruction book, but it has never been sent out.

Unfortunately Comcast IS the only cable service in town (Harford County, MD), but there is always Satellite.
