I've seen similar type things too in basketball.
One ingenious play was on inbounds. 2 girls from the team with the ball would start fake arguing on the court just as the ref handed over the ball to be inbounded. The defensivce team was distracted for the 2-3 secs, ball was inbounded and easy 2 points.

Similar situation was done with one girl faking being sick and pretending like she was going to puke... easy 2 points.

Dunno why its was always girls faking it... wait did I just saying girls and faking it?

Man, that's pretty shitty pulling it on little kids.

Poor sportsmanship on any level, even worse against children.

It's a legal play, whine some more why don't you guys. This is like when people get all upset when another team runs up the score on an inferior team. What, it's bad manners to play the game by the rules? You can sure bet that team won't fall for that trick again.

I dunno if I feel this is poor sportsmanship from high school up. Everyone's too touchy and sensitive these days. It's football dammit, and when you outplay your opponent, be it mentally or physically, you win games. Like I said though, high school and onward only, any level before that and it's absolutely poor sportsmanship because nothing's on the line in lower levels so most kids are just out there trying to learn and have fun.

At the high school level, the linemen should've known better.

I blame it on the linemen. The minute that ball moved the O-Line should've been on their asses.

Wow. That ref should be reprimanded.
No...he should be fired.

I think if Refs make calls before they actually see what happens, they shouldn't be refs. The point is that their eyes and ears validate the plays. If they ever fail with certain basic aspects of the game, they should be replaced...no questions asked.
