Writing zeros to Hard Drive

Can using a Western Digital Utility disc to write zeros to a WD Hard Drive harm the drive?

Me too. I use the WD Tool, WinDLG to erase my personal drives before I get rid of them on Craigslist.

sdelete is what i use - so i can shrink thin provisioned disks
