Personally, I cannot stand wrapping presents. I have been sitting here wrapping for the past hour and a half, and I still have five to go.

Just finished wrapping mine a half-hour ago & it took like 2.5 hours to wrap like 30 gifts for my kids & my neices ... I don't mind though because its only once a year. :)

Cool, I was just about to make a thread...

I fcvking hate it! :| My attempts at working out how much paper I need always fail, then I'm hacking bits off right to the very end, then I still have too much and nothing folds neatly so I'm like screw you mofo, you're getting taped up whether you like it or not. So I go through about 10 rainforests of paper and eleventy billion rolls of sellotape. Thank fvck this year we had some decent scissors in the house, not the ones that cut about 0.00001mm of paper at a time and make your hands feel like they've been through a mangler :| Plus we had one of those tape dispenser things with the serrated bit so you don't have to fvck about with said sh1tty scissors trying to cut bits off, then it gets stuck to everything including itself and bits of hair and fluff and nuclear waste :| Don't even think about ribbons or bows or whatever, you get a sticker with your name on it and you'll like it.

I had a friend who could make her presents look like they'd been in the hands of gift-wrapping ninjas who'd endured decades of training to create the ultimate vacuum-packed :gift: I was always  whenever I had to give her mine :(

Cliffs:

1. wrapping presents is sh1t
2. if your present doesn't come in a box shape, you're screwed
3. I wish I was a gift-wrapping ninja girlie :(

Oh yeah, I forgot the whole thing takes bsatard ages. Took well over an hour to do just 7. That's time I could be spending more productively, like shooting n00bs in teh face. Even if you're a ninja, I bet you have to meditate first, do stretches or something.

Plus the poll needs a "Hey, wrapping presents, go DIAF!" option.

Uhhh.. it's not hard. I don't get why people struggle so long.

If it's a box, it should be easy. Sure I can't do it PRETTY like other people, but I'm average. My mom can do it a little better than me, but I'm fine doing it.

I really don't like wrapping gifts, and I really suck at it. Some I don't even bother to wrap (i.e. gifts for my brothers). Gifts to my parents I wrap, but I do a crappy job... mostly because I suck at it. It looks like crap, but I tell them it should be more meaningful since it's obvious I wrapped them myself and didn't make my wife do it.

ii love it, picking out the right wrapping paper for that person, trying to mix and match the paper as to not use the same one for all your gifts. how you start off sucking for the first few gifts but get better as time goes on. it is just part of the experience i always sit there with my sister or a friend and we wrap gifts together

I don't care for it. It just seems kind of pointless. But then, I don't care for surprises either.

I try to use color comics too from the newspaper - it's paper on its way to the recycling bin anyway, so I might as well give it one last hurrah. Much tape dies though in getting the mess to hold together long enough to be ripped to shreds.

ok so I understated that. looks like I have about 50 gifts to wrap. I stopped with immediate family + grandma and grandpa, I figure I'll wrap the extended family tomorrow after the first round of ripping open gifts

I hate wrapping presents. I usually wait till the last minute to wrap them, which means they wont be seen that much, so why must I spend so much time making them nice? Plus I suck at it.

I think using bags are lame but I hate that everything comes in those ugly hard plastic containers that do not have flat surfaces. Almost makes using bags necessary.
