WPA, encrypts data?

I am using WPA and TKIP.

I know WPA/TKIP encrypts the PSK, but does it also encrypt the data as well?

Actually WEP, WPA encrypt the data portion.

TKIP helps randomize the temporary key once the session has been authenticated. It also has other anti-replay attack and other CRC checks to verify packets were not tampered with.

The PSK is never really sent. Without getting real technical, it's concatenated with a random 48-bit IV, and then a bunch of other stuff is done to the result of that.

But yes, WPA does encrypt the data.
