I just went through & took the time to get every one of those settings "just right" on my monitors. Did that ever make a difference. Text is SOOOO much clearer now. Just a note to make you guys think about doing the same, it really does make a big difference.

I've been trying to get my monitor settings right for ages now but with now luck. I'm convinced that my monitor's (CTX 960PF) geometry @ 1600x1200 is a bit messed up.

However I'm willing to give it another go. Did you use a guide/program or did you just play around with it until it looked good? I need to get my text a bit clearer myself.

I have to agree. If you take the time to really set, I mean SET your monitor, it makes a world of difference. Another thing, when you install Adobe Photoshop, it installs some little proggy to get color balance and contrast just right. Man, I love that program, highly recommend it, but you may have to have Photoshop for it.

I just used a 3x5 card. If you hold it at an angle over the 'test lines' you just go untill you see no red on one side & no blue on the other side of the line.
