Because the 2GB in my i9300 right now doesn't really help much. With no page file I smash the sh*t out of the physical memory.

Even with a 17", it would be questionable if 1600x1200 would be a good idea, but 2048x1536 on a 15" screen would require a magnifying glass. Don't go overboard; just because you can ugrade to a higher end part doesn't mean you should.

I know what you're saying. I had and Inspiron 8200 with 15" UXGA @ 1600x1200 which I loved, I currently have an i9300 17" WUXGA @ 1920x1200. I have personally seen the QXGA on an R series and honestly it's not as small as you would think. I don't want any bigger then a 15" now because I take it everywhere but I also don't want to sacrifice any desktop real estate.
