WOW YAO! Impressive numbers for the giant (NBA)

Yao Ming dominated inside with 38 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots to lead China to a 96-82 victory over Algeria on Friday night in the opening round of the World Championships.

Yao was 12-for-15 from the field -- almost everything either a layup or dunk -- and finished 14-for-17 from the free-throw line as Algeria could do nothing but foul him when he got the ball down low.

Nice free throw shooting Granted, it seems that Algeria sucks, Yao shows that he can dominate when given the chance. Very impressive, IMO.

It's still good to see Yao dominate when he should. He showed he's a capable scorer and can knock down free throws. That's great for Houston, when he gets hacked to death. 38 points is pretty impressive no matter who you're playing and his FG% was awesome!

Algeria != NBA

It's a whole different story in the pros. I remember the US destroying every single team they played during the Dream Team era with Jordan and such against these half @$$ "national" teams

He's going to be in a lot of pain later in life. People that tall have quite a few medical problems, usually.

realize that the camera is at a lower height then his head.... so the angle kinda makes the basket look shorter.
