MMORPGs can't compete in graphical detail with other games. At any given point they may have to display 500 other players wearing thousands of different pieces of armor.

the game is over a year old now, plus it wasn't meant to have the super badass grpahics of FEAR (nor would it really be feasible in an mmorpg environment) - they wanted to keep the art style of the Warctaft3 RTS game and also so it would run on a variety of systems.

It looks like you're tiny Koing! I've seen some of your weightlifting pics, but that makes you look really small. Your monitors are huge!

its not the graphics exactly, its just the vivid character of what you see that is breathtaking....all of the other mmorpgs are run of the mill ideas with lots of detail. WoW is a unique looking world wonderfully developed graphically. Its not meant to be a F.E.A.R. type looker.

WoW doesn't have graphics to drool over but it's still fun nonetheless. Remember diablo2? Graphics were poop.

1) I bought 2 expansions over 1.5 years of playing... so no
2) If you count the couple screens that you see when the game is loading, yeah it's there. But I haven't see anything when actually playing the game.
3) Maybe, but I haven't encountered anything.

How old are you, 7? You've been posting on ATOT since you're 1?

LOL

I'm not the guy in the pic :p. He is my brother and he is 11.

I was just messing as I had that pic online. I haven't played WoW since lvl33 or so. My bro plays it when he isn't at school, training or reading. That is pretty much all he does, but then he is 11 so it isn't as if he can do a lot else.

but isn't the game loading 80% of the time? i mean every time you go from one section of the city to another it has to load.

Oh that's right, they do those mini-expansions that they call something else... "extensions"? to lubricate their customers' wallets... Same difference to me and anyone else with a brain though.

No, I was talking about broadcast spamming. Good point about the load screens though.

If you haven't been "accidentally" double billed, "accidentally" signed up for their all-games-in-one-bill service, etc., and then been told it's your responsibility to deal with your credit card company concerning the overcharge(s), just wait ;)

Hmm. Simple algebra FTL. Maybe you're playing too many video games?

It's actually nearly 7 hours/day, but no one does their hobby every single day of the year. Take 2 weeks off for vacation. Then assume one plays 5 days a week. Now it's almost 10 hours/day. He wonders why he burned out...

Everquest 2 looks better, Oblivion looks better, Guild Wars looks better...........

Not discounting any of the above games but:

Have you SEEN WoW on a 2405? It's an awesome sight, ESPECIALLY with maxed out settings...

I personally don't think its that great at all on the 2405, but not due to the LCD.

I much prefer playing Oblivion...much better graphical display

Almost all 3D games made recently will look awesome on a 2405/3007 panel. :p

WoW is easy to run at those resolutions because of its utter lack of textures and low polygon counts, the GPUs can handle those resolutions. EQ2 or Oblivion at those resolutions require some serious processing power.

Yet no other game looks are bright because of the cartoonish coloring scheme.
