You were saying that people who go on vacations usually don't have problems buying medical supplies for their families....

How do you have money to go on vacation but not have money to get your kid medical treatment/devices?

6000 dollar medical devices aren't exactly normal medical treatment, devices.

No, what I was saying was that if my kid needed a $6000 medical device, I wouldn't be going on vacation. Period. Because they cost money. Any money spent on the vacation, which you know won't be inconsequential, should be going towards the $6000 medical device.

What about that is so hard to understand?

Vonore to Nashville is less than a 200 mile drive, hardly an extravagant vacation. Someone with a prescription for an insulin pump can still use manual blood sugar measurement and shots to manage diabetes. I don't think either of these things makes it more likely that the Stuttes are lying and committing insurance fraud. I'm automatically suspicious of these well-publicized "hate crime" things as they so often turn out to be someone looking for money and attention, but burning down one's own home strikes me a a bit extreme for this kind of thing. But I'll withhold judgment either way until more facts are in.

There's nothing I hate more than people who are intolerant of other peoples beliefs... that and religious types.

And homophobes.

I think he meant because it was a woman that was harassing them.

Maybe, but he'll have to clarify that for himself.

I don't really care if it was a woman or a man doing the harassing... he/she's still a coward and deserving of anything and everything that's coming his/her way.

You make a number of excellent points. Why these people didn't push harder with UPS has me really mystified-UPS should be on the hook for the insulin pump, delivery to a neighbor is no excuse unless these people already had a waiver with UPS on file.

Like werepossum I'll take a wait and see attitude on this one.
