So she got the typical online pharmacy enhance your penis size type of e-mail today, nothing out of the ordinary there, but the address it was sent from was very strange..

Her e-mail address is first_last@yahoo.com However the "person" who sent the e-mail sent it from the e-mail address [herfirstname]and[herBOYFRIEND'Sfirstname]@yahoo.com. That is to say, janeandmike@yahoo.com, if she were named jane and her bf was named mike.

Any idea how they could've gotten the "andmike" in there? Has anyone seen this happen before?

what with the hundreds of thousands, perhaps millionss of fake source addresses used by spammers, things like this can happen. Most likely a coincidence.

I would think it was exceptional if her bf's name were "Ackbad" and the email came to jane andackbad. Janeandmike is not terribly note worthy since Mike is so popular a name.

Thats not the actuall email address it was sent from. It was just spoofed to make it look like it was someone she knew so she would open it and follow the link inside it. Ive seen it many times.

It's not Mike, it's not the most obscure name but it's not the most common name out there..
