Yeah that's the point it's way to many websites. So what's the point of using it then if I just have to unblock every website I need to use. Adblock does everything I need without being a problem.

Have fun getting infected.

I use adblock but not noscript because I don't want to be hassled with having to allow scripts manually... I've never had a problem with them anyway.

Firefox is the only way to go. Chrome doesn't block before the page loads (Google wants their $$$). It blocks after. (Therefore, you can still experience the same problems)

Anyway, I use ghostery and Adblock plus. I don't use noscript because it usually breaks more than fixes websites. (In my experience)

yeah, ABP and Ghostery here too. I used to use Noscript but stopped and haven't in awhile; the other two mostly take care of everything.

Make sure you check the preferences though: there's an ABP option for "allow some advertising" (wtf?) and in Ghostery I don't think it auto-blocks new sites by default when the list gets updated. And also there's an option to send your usage to the Ghostery people (I think that one's off by default at least).

Yep. I saw that in ABP. "Allow some non-intrusive advertising." I unchecked that. Thanks.

Don't forget BetterPrivacy while you're at it, to remove those flash cookies. The first time you see the list of those cookies on your machine, (even after thinking you cleared your cookies), you'll be amazed. And, they're about 1000 times larger than regular cookies.

You entirely miss the point. These features are blocked because they are dangerous and leave you vulnerable to attack by thieves. You set the parameters for each site ONLY ONCE.
The only excuse you have is "convenience" and it's a stupid one. Imagine not locking your door. Convenient, yes but it's stupid. And it's a bazillion times easier for me to knock on 1 million internet doors than it would be for a criminal to visit 1 million houses.

You cannot hide. Lock the door.
