I used to spend time thinking up terrible tortures for people that perpetrate these unspeakable acts against other living things. Now I believe it gives only temporary satisfaction and teaches them nothing - as someone else mentioned, it makes them sorry only that they got caught. I think a death sentence would be adequate. Torture would provide nothing useful to society, and would not make them regret their heinous behavior; it would only make them regret getting caught. I don't know why people are still shocked by this sort of thing. People are brutes, and anything horrible you can think of to do to another person, has been done, and will be done again. However, we usually choose to cooperate peacefully. And that's the whole point. This sort of thing will probably always be with us. But it's such a small part of humanity. It's not worth your collective angst. Find something better to get angry about, like juvenile diabetes or some such.

You know....not much surprises me anymore.

Human beings can be the most vile, disgusting and repulsive animals on the planet which is why I don't care for most of them.

But this story actually broke my heart. I am not much one to beleive in an afterlife but I hope this woman at the very least is at peace now.

The people that inflicted this on her are prime examples of why the death penalty should exist and carried out as swiftly as possible....fvck their appeals.
