today for instance....i got pulled over for doin 61mph in a 40mph zone.....now this summer i got like three tickets for speeding....so i was pretty upset about this...but i knew i was speeding so i was calm...
so i sat in the car already had my wallet n' license....cop got to the window;

cop: how you doin this evenin, license and insurance please
me: im doin okay, yes sir..
cop: a reason you were speeding? i hope it wasn't an emergency or something..
me: no sir, im just trying to get home im tired...
cop: yup...you have any tickets lately?
me: im not really sure..i got one during the summer i know that
cop: okay, im gonna take your license and check your record
me: alright
cop goes....i wait a few minutes....he comes back
cop: well, you have no tickets on record
(wtf?! i got like two that SHOULD be on the record...where'd they disappear to?!)
cop: so tonight im just gonna give you a warning even though you were 21mph over the limit..just slow down and have a good night man
me: yes sir! thanks!!

and i drive off....maaaaaannnnnnn 21 over and i got a warning!!! wow...

I imagine if you were stoned when you were pulled over things would not have been so great.

But take it as a real warning. Slow down . . .

You were lucky. Cool. :)

My friend used to be like a cherrif person and he was you know checkin for speeders one day and this lady is going real fast but hes tired right so he gives her a warning. Next thing you know, shes flashing her blinkers, (the symbol to warn there is a cop) and he goes nuts on her. (like gives her the original ticket plus another one) i dont know if this is relevant but hey ...

My record: 127MPH in a 55 zone. Ticket: $5

God, I loved those days in Montana before we had no speed limit (we have one again not but the rules aren't the same as before). It used to be that during daylight, speeding was a $5 fine, period, and didn't go on your record.

A few years ago, I was on I-95 doing somewhere like 90 or so and had a state trooper wheel up next to me and wave, motion for me to slow down, and proceed to pass me. I thought that was kinda cool.

Good deal xero! :)

Okay, I just have to respond to this "record" here, well, for the record:

I was clocked at 126 mph in a 35 mph zone and I received only a warning. Funny thing is I was throttling down at the point he clocked me. Had he laid the gun to me just a few hundred yards sooner he would've clocked me at about 152 mph.

True story. It was 1988 and I was driving my 1988 Ford Saleen Mustang. So, yes, the car I was driving could go that fast. :)

I've got an interesting cop story. I'm on the highway one day, going about 75-80mph in a 65mph zone. It was a Sunday morning, and there was no traffic. I see this black Mustang GT coming real fast behind me. When he passes me at like 90, I drop it into fourth and catch up to him. I have a 92 Mustang GT, so I figured we could have a little "horse" race. We both were side by side and we both started to accelerate. We both got up to about 100mph and then coasted back down to 80 or so. I have modded my mustang a bit, so I beat him pretty good. When we slowed down and he came along side of me again, I noticed he had a state police uniform on...DOH! He rolled down the window, gave me a smile and a thumbs up, and sped off ahead of me. I still can't believe that he didn't give me the third degree. He could have nailed me for street racing, and taken my license immediately. I guess I was lucky...:)
