Just noticed they did my town yesterday. The actual satellite photos are from years ago but the streetview is just from last summer. I tried to find myself, but I think I was working at a cottage way out on a lake that day.

holy smokes, they even have my street... and my Dad's place too!!!!! my perennials out front look flippin awesome. damn, my house looks great 0_0

wow. they didn't miss much. even the rural areas seem to have it. crazy!

stalking girls on fb?

property assessment. anything that helps us identify property issues from the office is great. i don't work in residential assessment anymore, but for example, if you are looking for comparable homes on a street or in a neighbourhood... hell, even in a city, this tool is amazing.

I wonder how often they plan on redoing these street views images. I imagine they could get pretty out of date in the major cities within a few years.

Wow, they have pictures of where I used to live on street view now... Although only of the main roads. They didn't do all the streets which is sad.

Ahh, that's what they call it these days....

Wishes there were a Pedobear in a Century 21 jacket pic. 😀

I remember reading that this is something they only planned to do once, but I hope I'm wrong. It would be cool to see it get updated all the time, same with the satellite images. Like every 5 years or something. It probably takes about that long to get the data.

there was a Google street view pic taken hours after a murder in Windsor, Ont... apparently Google took it down. in the parking lot of Leopard's Lounge.

allegedly the pic had police tape and bloody rags and stuff. gross

I think every 15 years for residential areas and 5 years for cities would be a good idea.

It's in my little hometown now!

Nobody interesting in my yard, just my dad's car. But my neighbor is peaking out her screen door, seemingly going "wtf?" (we never get any traffic on our road unless it's 1 of the half dozen cars of the residents)
