This is Illinois, as long as he does not enter their home we are not allowed to shoot him. Not that it would have helped her, but in this state, our right to self defense ends when we leave our own house.

I'd be afraid it might send the guy into a murderous rage. On the other hand, it would probably incapacitate him long enough for the victim to at least get out some sort of weapon and use it against the attacker, or (if possible) she could get away.
