WoW System Requirements

I haven't been following this game, but I do have it pre-ordered and plan to play. I glanced at the Blizzard webpage and couldn't find any system requirements. This seems odd to me with it so close to release. Did I just miss them? My rig:

Athlon 2400+
1GB RAM
Radeon 9500

Anyone running something similar during the beta?

Athlon 2600+
1gb ram
radeon 9700

Runs great here. I don't think you should have a problem running it at all. May have to turn some eye candy off or you could get some video lag in the cities with a bunch of people around, but other than that you should be fine.

broadband. I have Comcast 3mb down, 256kb up, open beta ran fine for me. I doubt a modem is going to cut it, but I could be wrong.

Which one piece of those three would be best to upgrade? I'd guess video card.

Honestly, I don't think you'd need to upgrade your rig for WoW. If you really want to turn up the resolution, maybe a better vid card, but I think you should try it with what you have, then decide. You might find you don't need to shell out the bucks for hardware to go along with your subscription...

You'll be fine. It ran awesome at 1680x1050 on my Dell 8600 (9600 Pro) laptop, so I imagine mid/higher end desktops will be fine. 🙂

I played on dial-up for a while when my dsl went down, not the best experience but it was playable. You also have to take into consideration I'm in Michigan and the beta server I was playing on at the time was in California, might be much better with a more local server.
