I don't think the purpleness is so bad, but it just seems so shapeless looking and lacking cleared defined/beveled buttons and contours. Plus I can't tell where the LCD is exactly located.

The other one's even worse. What is it supposed to be? A giant jelly bean?

Actually, the very last one on that page looks kind of nice. It looks a little bigger than the mp3 player I have, but still decently small, and at least better designed than the "jelly bean".
