WoW Server Queues

It asks us to go to mountain servers (which I am on), but it's still a 12 minute wait?

Anyone else think this is a TERRIBLE "feature"?

I have a 60-120 minute wait on the central server I have been playing on all day.

Are you the same type of person who will bltch when the servers are laggy because of too many people on them?

They said they are increasing the caps.

I have been waiting for an hour and am still 290 in line with 32 min left. On a Central server, still trying to log on for my first time.

I started an account last night on StormReaver no problem but I think thats is going to be on of the most populated servers. May consider moving to Mountain or another region server with no queues. Will log in tonight and see what it is like. From the posts around the net its kinda mayhem...

I'll be loging in in about a hour and a 1/2. hopefully by then things will die down.

BTW, I dont think this is a bad idea. Think of it. Everyone is starting from gorund zero, so there are a ton of new characters running around. Can you imagine if everyone logged in today with their starting character. It would be so crowded, and no one would be able to kill anything because they'd be dead .000012 seconds after they respawned in. Also, its not they can just rent a couple servers for openng day and add them to the cluster. Its just not economically to do so, and besides...its not always going to be like this.

The queues were really bad last night, around 6pm central time.

If you are starting a new char, then Blizzard wants you to join a server with no wait. Of course that won't help you if you are trying to play with a guild that already chose a server, or if you already started your character and now can't get back in...

I've logged in twice, including once at 9pm ET last night, had no problems getting in, and the game was very smooth. I can't remember the server name, but it's a PvE server. It was pretty full....was having a bit of a hard time finding things to go kill because of all the people.

12 minute... id kill for a 12 minute wait.. try #2250 in que 5 hour wait to get onto my server

wow, that's a long way back in line. Which server? I was around 700 or so on Mal'Ganis. The time kept fluctuating from over an hour to 30 minutes, then back up...

Instead of waiting in line I just started on one of the new servers they opened up at around 5pm. I think they underestimated the demand for the central servers. But the fact that they were able to bring new servers up a few hours after the overcrowding started shows they planned ahead at least a little bit. Once the populations stabilize I don't think there will be much of a problem.

I sure hope so.. I cant leave Archimonde as my guild from over 10 years of play time is there..
and most of them are already high 20s with a couple low 30s..and maxed trade skills and they dont want to start over...

Sorry to bump a thread with an offtopic post, but I was curious if WoW let you have unlimeted accounts on different servers (ie, you can have characters on multipler servers) and the max number of characters you can have on a server.
