I was just listening to a bunch of Palmer songs last night on my jukebox -- his best albums are certainly Sneakin' Sally, Power Station, and Riptide but he had a fair number of other good songs besides "Sailing Shoes / Julia / Sally", "Addicted to Love" and "Simply Irresistable" and other songs on those 3:

(Double Fun)
"Every Kinda People"
"You're Gonna Get What's Coming"
(Secrets)
"Bad Case of Lovin' You"
(Clues)
"Looking For Clues"
(Heavy Nova)
"Change His Ways"
"Disturbing Behavior"

He wasn't an icon like Cash, but he was definitely a talented singer and songwriter. RIP.

🙁 Very sad. I really liked his songs, every time I heard them it reminded me of my young years.

RIP my friend

I always enjoyed the remake medley of Mercy Mercy Me / I Want You. What I will remember most about Palmer is a TV interview taped a few years ago as he was getting ready to perform with a few local musicians. Amazingly, he had lyrics sheets of paper placed on the floor by his microphone stand. Even though he must have performed the same selection of songs a million times, he still needed a cheat sheet.
