I can't find anything to link to, 'cept for other forums, but I live next to the Massachusetts State Police Academy and have heard that the Nazi uniforms were actually fashioned after the Mass State Police uniforms. IIRC the visiting Germans decided that style of uniform should be adopted because it looked intimidating and made the wearer appear something decidedly different than a civilian. Regardless, the police uniforms of the 1920's were perhaps made with equestrian and motorcycle uses in mind.

Freaky, I stood in almost that exact same spot and took this picture picture last September.

I clicked that pic and thought, damn that bridge looks familiar.

I'd love to read a reference for that claim- not that I don't believe you, but I think it's really interesting

Something tells me thats just their dress uniform. The work uniform is probably different equipment...although same colors and basic dress.

Yep. Just wait until some huge mofo comes out of nowhere, grabs that strap and beats the crap out of you.

Nice "mountme" hat.....

They look like the uniforms in Shawshank. I think they look good IMHO.

I just happened to be glancing at the Last 25 gallery and saw your pic and said, I know that bridge.

Then again, I see it everyday so its easier to recognize.
