WoW resurrection question

I'm on day 11 of my 14-day trial, I've played for 3-4 hours total. I managed to get my character killed an on a cliff on the West, South-West corner of Teldrassil. I'm floating around as a sprite and can't actually GET to my body anymore. As a matter of fact, all I'm doing is wandering around the Veiled Sea trying to find a way back to to the inner-island.

Should I give up now and start a new character? Or is there a way to go back to the angel-thing automatically and be resurrected?

If you're already out in the water, your best bet is to just start swimming out to sea until the fatigue meter pops up (you get it even when you're a ghost). Let it run out, and it should port you back to the graveyard where you can talk to the spirit healer.

I tried doing the /stuck thing, but I think that only works if you're physically stuck in one spot. My sprite could move around anywhere around the coastline and the sea.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you go to a spirit healer and accept the damages involved to your equipment, you still get resurrected where you died, right? Or do you get resurrected to the healer's location? I didn't think you got fatigue as a ghost/sprite, I wish I had known that. 😛

Yeah, that takes me to this forum. Thanks for that.

I'm sorry that this was an incredibly n00b question, but as I stated earlier, I've only just started playing. Thanks to Anubis for pointing out the obvious and telling me to contact a GM. I ended up being resurrected to the opposite side of the island. 😛

If you have the spirit healer res you, it will be at the graveyard, not where your body is.

Heh cool man. To answer your question, when you res at the spirit healer you have 10 minutes where you basically can't do anything but you res at the healer and not at your corpse.

wtf?! Seriously? How come I didn't get an e-mail saying that it had been moved? I've recieved an e-mail (the one time) before when I posted in the wrong forum....

I don't like how this game has no penalty of dying whatsoever. There should be a penalty like losing experience, or chance of losing gear.

anyways, i think the mods stopped email'ing people they moved the forums for awhile now, no?

" oh no! i lost connection to the server in the middle of that fight1"
come back to find yourself dead and you lost that Super Uber Sword of Supreme Uberity x 1000 that you spent weeks trying to get.

Repair bills get ridiculous at high levels. A tank can drop 10 gold on a successful farm night, 30+ if learning new content, and the other classes feel it as well, both from the repairs and the consumables. It's also supposed to be a casual-oriented game (though of course that went out the window nearly 2 years ago when they released the last bit of non-raid content. Oddly enough, we've seen a ton of new raid content since then).

Heh, I did the exact same thing my first night. Oh, look, the edge of the world tree! And there are big branches! And I can walk out on the...

Anyway, there are two things you can do short of contacting a GM. 1) swim around until you get to the little fishing village, from where you can zone through to the main city, and then out to a graveyard (I think you can use a portal as a ghost). Or you can just swim your ghost straight out and you'll see fatigue start to go up (or down, I forget) after you hit blue water. After a bit your ghost will die again, and you'll be back at the graveyard. There, talk to the spirit healer.
