im thinking about getting this game but my biggest concern is, if i play for a few months, and then i decide to not pay anymore and deactivate it for a month or longer, how long does the character save on the server? does it get deleted? if so, after how long?
cause sometimes if i play the game, i will get sick of it, but i dont want to lose the character when i worked on it so hard, but then i dont want to be stuck paying $15 to save him on there. so if i cancel the subscription, does he get deleted?

i wouldn't say forever, because it might change, but they don't have any plans to do so any time soon.

I saw a deal posted in the Hot Deals forum. $20. dig around in there, maybe it's still going on.
 
They don't guarantee that they'll save your character forever, but it's certainly in their best interest to do so 😛 All MMOs keep your characters for a very long time, it costs them next to nothing to maintain, and it's a hook to get you back 😛

i think i found what you were talking about. it was $20 for the 60 game card, not the actual game. the game was $29.99, but now its back up to $39.99 on the website. but ebgames seems to have the game for $29.99. i guess ill choose them.

i was considering that game too, but now that you pointed that out to me, im def not getting that game.

yep. if you get into a raiding guild your life is all over. if you get to 60 and kinda just putz aruond you'll be OK (although you won't get to the really cool stuff in the game...getting to lvl 60 is less than half the content of the game 😀 )

it's suppose to be 19.99 at circuit city this week and 17.99 at fry's till today.

lol now you tell me... not a big deal though, only $10 cheaper

edit: checked out circuitcity and they dont have it available online or for in store pick up. i guess people really ran for that one. didnt see it on outpost other than for $39.99

i know im gonna love this game. i loved diablo 2 and games like that. i might aswell tell my parents i going away for a while.

any advice so i dont do something stupid from the beginning? and is there any hacking things on this? diablo 2 was pretty good but there was the occasional hack which sucks. hopefully they put some good measures to prevent hacking/programs on wow.
