WoW - Question about where to go next...

warcrow

Lifer
Hey guys!

So, I'm in Ashenvale. I'ma elvel 25 Troll hunter. I've just compelted the quest where you have to get the paw form the bear, the claw from the hypogryph, and the head of the panther. I cannot find anyone to do any of the Elite quest with me right now.

Whats the next logic step? Where does one go after Ashenvale? Anyone feel like playing? I'm on Lightbringer.

Name is "Usteppin"

Duskwood is a good choice, Redridge is too.

I tried that with my undead. The guards did not like he. So i came back when i was high level to pay them a visit.

EDIT: Warcrow, go to StoneTalon and do all the quests remaining there, take a zep to the old world and do the quests in hillsbrad also. You might want to go into SFK for drops, you can get XP and a nice blue ring there for killing arugal.

yeah, finish up stonetalon... then i went to thousand needles

Same here, after a little while in Stonetalon I was up to lvl 26-27, which made Thousand Needles a good hunting ground.

The damn alliance keeps attacking The Great Lift and Freewind though...they shall all die 😛

I ran into the same problem. I have no more non-elite quests to run and all the other areas are too high for me. I feel like the quest system in the game has been too poorly designed. Or maybe I just suck.

Stonetalon, Tarren Mill, and the 1K needles.

If you are on PvP watch out for Alliance while questing in Tarren Mill area.

Is Lightbringer a pvp server? If you go to Tarren Mill, expect to get ganked...a lot. There's less to do at Stonetalon and Thousand Needles, but it's much safer. I'd save the T. Mill quests for later so you can get them done quickly. If you hang around anywhere in Hillsbrad you're going to get ganked eventually.

Whoops - didn't see "Troll hunter" when I suggested Redridge and Duskwood - I saw "ashenvale" and read "Darkshore" for some reason. It was pretty early in the morning for me 😀

It's not too bad, and besides, you get to kill plenty of alliance scum 😉

Another thing you can do is look or (or start, if none are available) a Razorfen Kraul group, it's a 25-30ish dungeon in the far southern barrens. Always more fun to do an instance (far better loot too) than schlep around solo. Another good instance for your level is Shadowfang Keep, which is near Undercity, and possibly the Deadmines, which is in Westfall. 25 is a tad low for Gnomeregan, but that's another fun instance for the 30-35ish crowd, something you can look forward to.

tarren mill is under attack 24/7 by high levels it seems on my server. really annoying for questing, which is why i spent most of those levels in 1k needles and shim flats

Have you done the rest of ashenvale? The shredder manual has a great reward for all classes, as I recall. The furlbogs on the other side of the map near the other flight point in ashenvale are fun, there is an escort quest in there that I enjoyed, and though there is a quest with the furlbogs that says you should get friends to do it, I was able to solo it with my priest (at level 31 though)

I basically go all over and get quests from everywhere, Silverpine, Hillsbrad, Stonetalon, 1k needles, barrens, ashenvale.

I'd play with you on Lightbringer, but my lightbringer characters are alliance, and I've basically given up on Lightbringer so I can actually play when I want to.

lightbringer is NOT a PvP server, so he need not worry about the usual gankfest in Hillsbrad foothills.
