Wow.. Piece of junk Intel G2 SSD

The most common BSOD with SSD is that you do not have the proper drivers on or switch it to ACHI mode in the bios with out changing the W7 setting.

Sounds like you got a rare lemon, and are using non-intel hardware. Too bad so sad. Never had a problem with my 60gb Vertex, with the Indilinx controller and am quite happy with the exact same drive you are whining about. Sounds like RMA is your friend.

Sounds like an OEM board/machine. e.g. Dell, Gateway, etc.

or it's the intel board i bought from microcenter the month the s1366 chips came out 😉

you can't get more intel based than an intel branded SSD with an intel branded mobo

i swapped the drive in my laptop and i had the same problems. the drive that was in my laptop previously was an intel x25e 64GB. definitely a bad drive. oh well

On the second page and stil no mention of what board he is using.

Saying its socket 1366 really tells us nothing.

I'm starting to lean towards the IDI0T error myself 😛

it's actually funny coming from you because it's 1D10T. that says a lot about you. i already said i put the x25e from one of my laptops in there and it works great.

starting from scratch in said laptop, e6510, encounters same issues. i also found that even with SMART disabled on the desktop, it still bsod, it just takes longer. things on the desktop become unclickable, but mouse moves, eventually resulting in bsod.

and i meant 2010, not 2008. i don't even know wtf i was doing when i put that. i didn't even notice until tcsenter's post then went back to page 1 and saw all the quotes.

since you're dying to know, it's a dx58so. the last thing on my mind is memorizing or jotting down the board model for yall when i'm not coming here for help. just talking about my bad experience with an intel drive (1 out of 4 i own).

are you fanbois really that butt hurt that intel could produce a dud SSD?

lol doesn't bother me one bit my shit works!

And whos said intel isn't capable of producing a lemon? It happends to all they just happen to have lower reported problem than most other SSD producers.

I love the fanbois ?? term on the internet people throw around like its suppose to be an insult its old like mother jokes from the 90's.

best of luck with the RMA!

MY shit works too. it's just wife's PC. she has her dell XPS to use while her desktop is out of commission. :hmm:

i know everyone was just trying to help, so thank you. the G2 bsod's in both the laptop and pc. i'm taking the drive back to MC tomorrow to exchange it. i'll probably just put that in my laptop and keep the x25e in the wifey PC. getting sick of reinstalling 🙂

Boy, isn't that the freakin' truth. Intel just yanked an entire new product launch after three weeks because of a process flaw in a controller chip. Yeah, Intel walks on water, man.

THAT'S more like it! now this bad boy is working good. exchanged it and it's running great... in my laptop. i just left my x25-e in my wife's pc and put the new G2 in my laptop. not a single bsod! 😀
