at 28 your g/f will have trouble with mom and dad coming in to tuck you both in at night.

Hm...maybe I'm wrong. Be happy. :)

This is what came to my mind as well. Hopefully not, though.

I agree. :frown:

Bah! It was good for the car, and why b!tch at them for it? I ASKED them to come up. Besides, how else were they going to get the car to me?

I'm DARN lucky they got me a car, let alone a NEW car. I'm extremely grateful to them for all they've done for me and all that they've provided for me. I'm not going even DARE be an @$$wipe and complain about a little bit of milage on the car.

I certainly hope you two have never treated your parents like you've suggested I do.

I doubt that . One of the reasons they came up to visit (besides to deliver the car) was b/c I'm not returning home this summer. The next time I'll see them will be in December. And while they've gotten used to me not being around, they've never gone for more than 4 months w/o seeing me. This'll be 7 months for them.

Also, I resent the implication that i'm spoiled. Now, while I've been given a sweet computer system and an awesome vehicle, it is still on me to pay the rest I owe to the landlord while I'm living out here, and to pay utilities, and food, and gasoline for the car. I am having to support myself, w/ no support from my parents (except that they provided a means for me to get to work...that's why I needed teh car). I knew that when I decided to not return home, and I'm doing fine. But even though I'm now not living off of the support of my parents, I'm still very happy for what they've given me.
