i recommend waiting for the open beta next week unless you are willing to wait 12-24 hours after you subscribe and pay to play

that seems how long it is taking FP to issue keys

i paid yesterday at around 5 PM wouldn't let me sign up till about 7:45 and then they finally issued me a key at 2:30 AM

Yeah, it'll probably be comparable to other MMORPGs, but I could see it being slightly higher, just because the fans are so rabid they'd pay it.

It's very fun, anything lower than $15/mo I'll probably pay for.
