World of Warcraft Stress test has begun. Characters from the stress test carry over to open beta, which then carry over to the actual release. So if you shell out a few bucks now to fileplanet (requires a subscription) you can play the game a bit early.

Just thought some of you would like to know.. hope this doesn't get moved to the other forums, nobody ever checks the game forum.
 
I dont' think its available anywhere but fileplanet yet, but regardless I think even if you have it you have to get an account from fileplanet to play.

Its downloading mad slow from fileplanet right now, and its going mad slow.

I really hate gamespy and fileplanet, I truly wish there was some other way....

I remember when Fileplanet was free and slow and gamespy is just what we used to play Quake. 🙂

 
Hah, I'm trying to subscribe to fileplanet to get it, and the stupid fileplanet servers are having an error with payment frmo both paypal and credit cards.. Further reason to hate fileplanet- when you try to give the money for something they have wortwhile, it malfunctions and you can't.

Funny thin that the one thing on their site that actually makes them money is the thing thats not working.

Me loves FP, pay them a small fee every month for the last 3 years and Download like Crazy.

I have my own server, 300 to 400 download speed. Yahooooo😀

Ehhh just wait for open beta if you don't want to pay for stupid ass fileplanet. Stress test != open beta. Open beta will follow the end of Stress Test (I am guessing in a cpl weeks).
 
Seems like accts from the first stress test still work. When I try logging on, I get:

Which seems to indicate that its only my version that's pissing it off

So yeah this means that if you can get your hands on the client, your old acct should work (instead of needing a new key). And the client shouldn't be too hard to get off of p2p

They said the free open beta will be in one week. Fvck fileplanet... I wouldn't give them a dollar to save my life.
 
It's getting hammered...this happens every time they have beta signups, beta download, beta whatever. They need more servers or something
So I watched the opening cinematic twice...and then I closed the program because I don't have an account 🙁 at least I don't have to wait for the client to install when it goes to open next week
