Tom Hammond took his place along with Cris Collinsworth.

Did they finally hear the pleas of everyone? Anyone know the story behind it?

In other news then, Mario Williams is justifying his #1 selection in last year's draft. He took down his fellow draftee Jay Cutler 3.5 times and is looking like one of the premier defensive ends in the league. He'll be the only pro bowler between him Reggie and Vince this year, and given what we've seen out of those two this year, it's hard to think he won't be the the best player next year as well.

Good to see him finally putting that physical prowess to good use out there now..

too bad i get crappy radio reception in here or i'd have listened on the texans AM station

Hammond is 10 fold better than Gumbel. I didn't have to hear "it would appear" 3800 times in one football game.

:thumbsup: consider yourself lucky. It sounds as if Gumbel will be back though....apparently he was just sick and couldn't call tonights game.
