Looks like suns back out.

There was a Concrete Wall that couldn't hold all the water and mud.

it collapsed right on main street lol.

No major damages to public places except for the wall and heavy mud and water flow.

was dark as hell here in Basking Ridge, NJ. started thundering like crazy. then the rain came....you could hear the rain inside the 3 story 4000 cubicle office building

Aharami, do you work at Avaya?

western NY, sunny/partially cloudy today... We had that stuff go through here yesterday. Poured.... sunny.. poured.. sunny... poured... sunny. Most of the storms only lasted a few minutes (usually, here, it rains for a couple hours at least when it does rain)

Rain, schmain - we're supposed to have 2 hurricanes hit around here (Tallahassee) in the next couple days.

It's thundering like crazy here (Hillborough, NJ), but the sky is bright and no rain. On 202 on my way home, I hit a patch of really dark clouds and some rain, but that lasted all of about 5 minutes. Saw a lot of lightning though.

Getting ugly here in southern Connecticut. Very dark, heavy winds, thunder and lightning. Sky looks like it's going to open up any minute, but so far only light rain.

ROFL, oops! Less than a minute after hitting the "reply" button the sky did in fact open up. It's pelting down now.

Why are you home already? What are your working hours?

My friend just heard some loud thunder in the Boston area, he says its drizzling. I didn't hear anything because I'm in the basement of an office building.

I'm just north of boston and I heard some low rumbling for the past hour, nothing big ... yet 😛

I left work early. Long story. 🙂

Have noticed (as a displaced Southerner now in NYC) what the brethren in the North refer to as storms and downpours to be the equivalent of sun showers in the South.

Regardless, good luck with Bonnie and Charley, allisolm.

Yeah, and a snowfall that brings the south to it's knees is referred to as "flurries" up here.

All too true. Though, having fared through this last winter (which many long term northern residents referred to as "bad" or "worst in recent memory"), I found even the worst of the snowstorms quite bearable.

Am certain it can get far worse.

Was heading home from Manhattan 1.5 hrs. ago. Nearly crapped my pants looking at the sky. I hightailed it to Penn tho' before it poured, tho' I prob. could've walked faster than the speed of the LIRR train.

well I think it's over already around here... and it was hardly enough to worry about my electronics in the house... bah.

Rains a lot here in GA as well, but I'll be damned if people ever learn how to drive in it. And please, please don't get me started on winter weather.
