its just as bad as saying.. damn my uncle died, that sux.

but then again I give a rat's ass...

My condolences, man. I lost a few aunts and uncles, and I remember what it felt like. I remember being denied bereavement leave because they are not "immediate family" What a crock!
I am glad he did not suffer a prolonged illness and debilitation. You can remember him as you should, his old and capable self.

He owned an airboat (in North Dakota)
A Piper Cub
He was restoring a duce & a half.
Snowbirded in Mexico in a Winnebago...

I know what that's like. I had to go to one of my grandpa's funerals on my birthday. And another one about a year later just after new years. (he died 12/27)

It's better that he died shorly like that rather than having to drag something out for years like one of my grandpas did.
