Wow!! My old grade school now is 45% Spanish!!!!

I went back today to my old grade school, because I have to interview 4 teachers. Man, was I surprised to find that half of the school is comprised of Spanish Americans!! I gratuated in 89, and when I left there were maybe 5-10% Spanish Americans. That's it!!! It's like they took over. And I don't live in the Inner City. I don't live in Chicago, N.Y. city or Dallas Texas. I live at the shore in NJ!!! The area is now considered Urban!!! I guess it makes sense. White Americans aren't having kids anymore. We're all busy with our carreers, and having kids at a latter age. 🙁

Well, when I came to America in 1983, it was pretty diversified already(I lived in Southern California). My high school was composed of 40% Asian, 40% White (including Hispanic), and 20% other.

Now that I'm in Denver, it's not as diversified but it's getting there. 🙂
 
I don't know my grade school since I don't remember it that well in regards to "ethnic diversity" other than it was fairly mixed, in which there wasn't an overhwleming presence of one ethinic group or another. But I know my high school has turned to crap (a once national blue ribbon school, which means it is supposed to be one of the top in the nation). Really bad administration eventually caused all the good teachers to leave, and now no one wants to go there. =P
 
My high school was between 85% and 90% hispanic.

We had about 15 blacks, 50 whites and like 10 of other races.

Spanish Americans would be white, just like all the other people from Spain, and the rest of Western Europe.

Blame it on the people from Califonia, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, who flatout refuse to have any sort of real border security present to prevent illegals from coming in from Mexico, as they worry it might jeapordize the $2/hour slave labor they receive to have their homes cleaned every week (thereby putting poor Americans citizens out of work, I might add) or it might inconvenience them on the weekends when they go down to Tijuana to buy crack. It would be OK if the squalor was limited to their own states, but since we all live in the same country, it spreads pretty quickly. New Jersey is the 2nd wealthiest state right now; I wonder how long before welfare for illegals destroy it as well.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and I know exactly what SHANTANU is saying. I go to a school that just three years ago was maybe 20 percent hispanic. now we have fukin hordes of them coming in like frikken Ilian Gonzales. I dont mind the fact that theyre mexican. I am by no means a racist. What I do hate, is having to be around them all the time because most of the time, they badmouth the USA. "Stupid fukeen crackers" "This school fukkeen sucks bunch of stupid white people". This school was just fine before you ungrateful sh1ts came into my school. I have a few hispanic friends, theyre awesome, respect their country, and are glad theyve moved here. Why do so many cross the border only to come and badmouth it?! WHAT THE FUKK IS THAT?! Our school used to be clean. Now we have spanish grafitti on the walls, more ESL classes than regular classes, and double the students of my freshman year. MOST of these kids create a massive pain in the ass for the district and the teachers. For some reason they have their own "cool" noises and whistles they make, its like fukking whales communicating. The other day I was walkin to class and saw some mexican kid pick his nose and smear it on the wall. later the same day I go to take a wiz, and theres piles of USED toilet paper on the ground. THEY DONT KNOW WHAT FUCING RUNNING WATER IS. MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been to Phoenix (1999) so I know what you are saying. But a couple of points

1) the mods don't need your permission
2) if you realize your post is over the top, exert self control and choose better vocabulary
3) how do you know a hispanic person put the toilet paper on the floor?

I guess my main experience of alientation while in Phoenix was when the girl at McDonalds absolutely did not understand English. I hate to be totally steotypical about this, but shouldn't a requirement for working at an establishment include the ability to understand what the customers are saying? I didn't find the experience culturally enriching in any way.

Border security is a federal issue. Residents of those states (such as myself) can't do anything about it. The jails in San Diego are filled daily with illegals. Local activists and the politically correct handcuff our elected officials. As far as taking jobs from American's, you really must be kidding. You won't find an abundance of American citizens lining up to clean homes or pick strawberries, at any wage. American's priced themselves out of those markets years ago.
Beleive me if us California natives could get rid of all the poor illegal immigrants (I have no problem with legal immigration) we would. Not to mention the droves of easterners who relocate here searching for the paradise not found on the Jersey shore.
Your beef should be with Mexico not the border states.
One other thing, we buy our crack locally. We don't want to put any American's out of work.😉

They do it all the time - I had a friend who worked at mcdonald's. He was one of the lucky fellows to clean the bathroom on a regular basis. He cleans it - takes down the sign and 10 seconds later a mexican dude went in there - as soon as the guy leaves, Travis (my friend) goes back in and sure'nuff, theres a pile of brown TP.

Its a common thing, especially the further you get towards the south.

Mine was over 70 percent hispanics when I was there. Probably more now. I was one of the few Asian Italians there.
 
My school (I am currently in HS) is about 46% Hispanic, 28% black, 12% white, and 15% Asian (inc. Muslims). I don't mind it at all, I actually am very glad I go to a diversified school. I don't think I could stand going to school with a bunch of white preps who are so enclosed in life that when they get out in the real world they will be blown away. Most of us posting on this board came over to the US within the last hundred years and were just like these people. They want a better life, a better education for the family, and better health care.
 
My high school: (rough estimates)

60% Asian
36% Hispanic/Mexican
4% Other

We have a total of about 4 true blond/blue eye'd students, along with ~ 5 African American students. And TRUST ME, i kid you not...
