Where i live, in montreal, a stupid moron had a conversation on the web with an american.They were chatting in a chatroom.

The american start making joke at the canadian, but the canadian told him he is from al-qaida, and he will blow up the madison square garden.

Few hours later, the GRC ( our local FBI wannabe lol ), arrive at the kid house and made an arrestation of the kid( guy is 20 years old).Our typical french-canadian.Not at all a al-qaida member or anything.

Now the US have blacklist the family for this story,and the guy ..sorry family will never be able to cross the US border, without extreme check-up.

Do you agree that the US maybe didnt investigate seriously, before making serious search by jumping to the conclusion that its probably any of these other moron who are making joke claiming they are from al-quaida?

The kid, like a lot of people on the internet, think that anything we can say on the internet, will never spit back in our face.He think lik lots of us, that, our identity is hidden, and nobody will enver know who you really are, if you decide to take the personnality of anyone you want.If i wanna be an asshole on the net i can...Hey its not real life.its just the net.

So the FBI didnt have any information about the identity of the kid.And ask GRC to do serious search.

Free speech doesn't mean you can pretend to be a terrorist and make a threat against a prime target in NYC. I'm all for busting that kid. Now that doesn't mean they can charge him with a crime, but if I'm the FBI I would have raided that kids house too. We're not screwing around with an organization that hijacked planes, brought down the two tallest buildings in America, hit our military headquarters and killed thousands.

No, but you make a hypocritical statement. You say "I have no problem with free speech", where in reality what you mean is; "If you exercise the right to free speech I will respond with a punishment of violence or making your life difficult by involving authorities"
